French Quarter Delight

Today we found the French Quarter we wanted to find yesterday but completely missed when we ended up on the seediest street in the area.

The rest of the French Quarter has nice small streets with renovated old Spanish style buildings and little boutique shops and antique stores.

We found one shop which sells glass Christmas tree ornaments. Kitsch doesn’t begin to describe it. I wish I could have subtly taken more photos. I might try again tomorrow when we go back there. The gay merman ones are unique items. I did manage to photograph this bizarre alligator in a tutu!!

We really enjoyed wandering and window shopping today, helped enormously by it being less hot and knowing which streets to avoid.
